The Farmland Resources task force recognizes that food and farming are cornerstones of our economy and quality of life. Farms, fields, woodlands, and orchards create the rural character that is appreciated by residents and visitor alike, and produce a diverse range of crops and products. Our farmland is located in the West Fruitbelt- a nationally recognized resource which is increasingly threatened by farmland lost to development. Our efforts aim to support a culture of farming appreciation and creatively address the needs new and existing and farmers in this precious region.
